Rinjani Eruption: Impacting Flights to India VP and Gangster

The eruption of Indonesia second largest volcano Rinjani mountain caused for cancelled flights,airports closure to India VP delay.

Liputan6.com, Jakarta The second largest active volcano in Indonesia situated in the island of Lombok, Mount Rinjani has erupted several times since the early hours of Tuesday 3 November 2015 with hitherto still emitting at constant pace. The Indonesian Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) spokesperson, Sutopo Purwo Nugroho shares how the precaution has already been signaled since its preliminary eruption on October 25 2015 and fear comes back haunting residing or currently in the mountainous area of Rinjani following reports and shocking and repetitively heard outburst of the second largest volcano in the archipelago state.

According to Sutopo, the Disaster Management Agency of Nusa Tenggara Barat performed immediate distribution of 4000 masks to the locals residing in the affected area. Cancelled Flight

Garuda Indonesia Airlines reportedly cancelled as many as 86 both for domestic and international routes in and out of the arena.

All international airlines such as Virgin Australia and Jetstar have also decided to shut its operation down today which was followed by similar move made by Air Asia.

 

Airport Closure

As has been stated in the ‘Notice to Airman’ No: A2472/15 which was issued by aviation authority, Ngurah Rai airport in Denpasar and Blimbingsari airport in Banyuwangi will be closed down for a while as no flight activities and operations will be conducted during such alarming period of time.

Coincidentally, Indian Vice President Hamid Ansari is similarly entrapped in the resort island of Bali due to the eruption which has hindered his departure back to his country.
