Jokowi Ratifies Mary Jane's Delay Following the Case Development

Mary Jane is expected to testify against human trafficker who has voluntarily pleaded guilty to the Philippines authority.

It has been learned that such delay is caused by the development of her case which involved the voluntary surrendering of her accomplice to the Philippines government. 

The story gets interesting with the 'surrendered' accomplice identified as the head of human trafficking operation in which Mary Jane was trapped and led astray in.

The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Relations (Kemlu) views the postponement of Mary Jane's execution as the a sign showing Indonesian legal system endeavour to perform the execution in accordance to the law- abiding procedures. 

Indonesia remains strong despite massive critics vocalized through social media and other modes of communication, the country strives to yield positive response through actions that vividly show its meticulousness in addressing Mary Jane's case.

"This is a concrete proof to the global audience that Indonesia is serious when it comes to implementing its laws. Laws with subsequent association to death penalty are carefully examined and evaluated as to determine whether or not the capital punishment is the appropriate chastisement judging through the charges of the perpetrators," Ministry of Foreign Relations Spokesperson, Arrmanatha Nasir informed, Jakarta, Wednesday (29/4/2015). 

He further informed how Mary Jane's last minute getaway ticket out of the execution that the larger audience have so wrongly perceived as repercussion to President Jokowi's susceptibility of Philippines President request, was primarily due to the important development of her case. 

The development was accompanied by the discovery of new facts relating to Mary Jane’s case. It is the Indonesian legal department obligation to utilize the facts presented before revisiting the notion of execution again.

"Philippines government has requested for Mary Jane's presence to testify against a human trafficker who has voluntarily pleaded guilty before the authority ," he continued.

Acknowledging the importance of Mary Jane's presence for the large- scale human trafficking trials, President Jokowi immediately instructed her execution postponement and ordered for her relocation back to the Wirogunan Correctional Institution situated in Yogyakarta. (Akp/Ein)
